This is a miserly 8-page short story inserted into the "Overstreet's FAN #16" published in August 1996. Written by Beau Smith and pencilled by Brad Gorby, this is the very FIRST Spawn story that was inspired by a Spawn collectible figure. The latter in question is Series 5's Viking Spawn released in July 1996. Oversteet would go on to insert two more Spawn Fan Edition into their guide Overstreet's FAN #17 and #18 in August and September 1996 respectively. It is so sad that the 3 issues combined are only 24 pages in length, darn...I always enjoy the Spawn from the dark ages.
