In issue #139 (October 2004), Nyx "borrowed" the power of Spawn and became temporarily a She-Spawn. There are earlier two She-Spawn collectible figures - She-Spawn 1 from Series 4 January 1996 where there are 3 official editions and She-Spawn 2 from Series 21 February 2002 where there are 2 official editions. For a story created in 2004, there is little surprise that She-Spawn 2 has a stronger influence on the drawing.
The use of blue on black masks instead of the usual white on black mask however reminds me of She-Spawn 1v2 distributed by Diamond Comics.
This is the same image that appeared on the cover of #141 (December 2004) drawn by Greg Capullo of a sexier Nyx. I preferred those beautiful and long flowing blonde in the inside pencilled and inked by Nat Jones though.
Nyx re-appeared in the form of She-Spawn in 'Bomb Queen IV #3' and 'Bomb Queen IV #4' in December 2007.
